MHW-3BOMBER is committed to developing tools that elevate the coffee experience. During our research, we observed that most existing filter baskets are optimized for light or medium-light roasted coffee. However, there is a growing demand from customers for filter baskets specifically designed for dark roast coffee.
In response, we embarked on extensive research and development. Through repeated prototyping and rigorous testing, we experimented with various hole sizes and numerous arrangement patterns. After conducting comprehensive flavor tests, we finalized the design of the DH Filter Basket, which features a unique arrangement of three different hole sizes.
This innovative design enhances the natural sweetness and rich texture of dark roast coffee, allowing its full-bodied flavors to shine. With the DH Filter Basket, coffee enthusiasts can enjoy a balanced and flavorful brew, crafted to perfection for dark roast lovers.

Specifically designed for dark roast coffee beans, the DH Filter Basket enhances flavor by increasing sweetness and improving mouthfeel.
Unique Aperture Design with Equidistant Cross-Pattern
Featuring three different hole sizes arranged in concentric circles with equidistant cross-patterns, this innovative design optimizes the coffee extraction process.
- The outer ring has 0.2mm holes to increase puck pressure and slow down flow rate.
- The inner rings use alternating 0.25mm and 0.3mm holes to reduce puck pressure and accelerate flow rate.
This configuration balances pressure differences between the inner and outer areas of the basket, minimizing channeling effects. It promotes even extraction of coffee oils and flavor compounds, reducing bitterness while enhancing sweetness, and effectively managing the overall extraction process.
Straight-Walled, Flat-Bottom Design
- Enhanced Uniform Extraction: The straight walls and flat bottom provide a larger extraction surface area, allowing water to flow more evenly across the coffee grounds, resulting in improved extraction and a richer taste.
- Groove-Free Convenience: The groove-free design makes the basket easier to handle and offers better compatibility with coffee distributors and tampers.
