What is extract chilling?
Extract chilling is the process of cooling espresso immediately upon extraction. By lowering the temperature of the first espresso drops, volatile aromatic compounds are better preserved, resulting in a sweeter, cleaner, and more complex cup. This technique also minimizes the degradation of flavor that can occur due to high-temperature oxidation.

How does the Chilling Ball work?
The Chilling Ball sits atop your espresso cup and acts as a thermal sink. As the espresso flows over it, the liquid’s temperature drops instantly, preserving its integrity. The ball is made of food-safe stainless steel and can be pre-cooled in the freezer for optimal performance.
